Naas

Naas is the county town of Kildare, just off the M7 motorway, about forty minutes south of Dublin. The branch is on the Kilcullen Road, right by the motorway interchange.

Kildare is horse country. The Curragh racecourse is ten minutes away. The Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens are fifteen minutes south. If you are heading southwest toward Kilkenny, Cashel, or Cork, Naas is the first convenient pickup point outside Dublin.

Naas is also a practical alternative to Dublin Airport if you are staying south of the city and want to avoid driving through Dublin entirely.

Questions cousins ask about Naas

contact us if yours isn't here
Why pick up in Naas instead of Dublin?
If your trip heads south or west (Kilkenny, Cork, Limerick, Kerry), Naas saves you driving through Dublin. You skip city traffic entirely and join the M7 or M9 motorway straight away.
What is there to see in Kildare?
The Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens in Tully are 15 minutes south. The Curragh racecourse is 10 minutes. Castletown House in Celbridge, one of Ireland's finest Palladian mansions, is 20 minutes north.
How do I get from Dublin to Naas without a car?
Bus Eireann route 126 runs regularly from Dublin city centre to Naas. The journey takes about 50 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a taxi or arrange a transfer to the Naas branch.
Is Naas close to the motorway?
Very close. The branch is right by the M7 interchange. From here you can reach Limerick in under 2 hours, Kilkenny in about 1 hour 15 minutes, or Cork in about 2 hours 30 minutes.
Can I visit Newgrange from Naas?
Yes, but it is about 1 hour 15 minutes north via the M7 and M3. If Newgrange is a priority, the Dublin branches or Drogheda are closer starting points.
